Not long now

Hi and welcome to my latest update.

I would like to welcome Stuart Watt to the club, the newest player to sign up for the 1st team, Stuart has some rugby experience and I am sure will fit in well.
That now makes 24 registered players for the coming season, but plenty of time and space for more to join.

Training is every Thursday evening where the focus has been on fitness and skills, we now work on the team`s strategies and set plays, learning and executing the moves, mixed in with basic skills for players of all abilities.
At the start of September Imiee Smith will be working with the forwards on scrum and lineout plays.
It is great that the support volunteers are taking the time to attend courses and improve what they offer to their role.

What`s in it for you
As well as playing possibly the best team sport

Don’t forget this season membership will be £100
Once you have paid and registered (or you cannot play for the team) you will receive a free pair of club shorts and socks and if you don't have one already a free club tie.
(Must play minimum 6 games or refund club for cost of kit items)

After each home game, when the pitch is packed away and both changing rooms are clean, each player will receive free food and first drink free of charge.

Play on or in the week of your Birthday and I will buy you a drink after the game.

IMPORTANT REMINDER
Don’t forget – I am a volunteer, the support staff are volunteers – the club committee are volunteers.
We all give up our time to make playing rugby possible for you, we all have jobs, family and other activities we could be doing, but when we say we will – we do.

We just ask for your commitment, you must read and reply to all posts in the team face book group......if you do not communicate then you may not get picked to play.

New player code of conduct this season, to be policed by the players, when you register to play you agree to abide by the team rules....contact Club Captain Chris Stennett for a copy.

We only have 3 weeks now to our first game, away to Halstead - Saturday 26th August......please attend training and all the team events from now on so we can get a great start to the season.

As a club we have to be clear on what we want to achieve this season
1./ top half of league finish
2./ Win Suffolk plate competition
If you want to play and want both of the above then get along to training and let’s make it happen

Dale
